Benefits
of plant based proteins

We believe the way ingredients are produced,
selected and processed is of the utmost importance for the health
and well being of agricultural production, the enviroment, animals and of course humans

WHAT IS
PROTEIN?

Proteins are found in the cells and tissues of all living things. They are chains of amino acids, molecules that are involved in a variety of biological functions. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. When the body digests the proteins in food, it breaks them down into amino acids.

LOWERS THE RISK
OF HEART DISEASES

A plant-based diet is the only diet proven to prevent and reverse heart disease; no other diet can make that claim. In fact, research presented during the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2017 showed that  plant- based diets decreased the risk of heart failure by 42 percent among people with no history of heart disease.

OVERALL
HEALTH BENEFITS

There’s no downside for anyone who wants to follow a plant-based diet. Even if you don’t have heart disease and are not at risk for developing it, a plant- based diet can reduce your risk for developing other health conditions, such as diabetes and cancer. It can even improve the symptoms of autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

BETTER
FOR ENVIRONMENT

Plant-based proteins are produced with less water and carbon than animal-sourced foods. Having a plant based diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth. Not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.

HEALTHY AND TASTY
DAIRY AND MEAT ALTERNATIVES

Nowadays plant based products are taste-forward. There are so many great plant protein - based recipes. They can be even more cravable and indulgent than meat dishes, and they fit very easily into our diets not just vegan or vegetarian, but even for omnivores who want healthier options.

LEGUMES

Legumes (a broad category that includes all varieties of beans, peas, chickpeas and lentils) contain lysine, which is in short supply in many other plant foods. For those who choose to avoid or significantly reduce intake of animal foods, eating legumes daily supplies the needed amount of this amino acid. Just one half-cup serving of legumes can provide up to 10 grams of protein.
